Seminars "Amazing Grace: Examining the Infinite Grace of God" by Dr. Don Kistler October 6 and 7 2012 Subjects: Grace Before Time: The Covenant of Redemption Electing Grace The Objects of Grace Abounding Grace Sufficient Grace Persevering Grace About Dr. Don Kistler Dr. Don Kistler, was the founder of "Soli Deo Gloria Publications", and more recently "Northampton Press", publishing Puritan and early Church Writers. He was born in Watsonville, CA in 1949, the second of five sons of Jack and Faye Kistler. He grew up on a dairy farm in Central California and graduated from Azusa Pacific College in Southern California in 1971 with a double major in public speaking and religion. He coached college football for 15 years before entering pastoral ministry. He is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary International in Jacksonville, FL with a Master of Divinity degree, specializing in historical theology. He received his D. Min. in Puritan Studies from Whitefield Theological Seminary in Lakeland, Florida. Dr. Kistler is an Ordained Minister in the Reformed Presbyterian Church General Assembly (RPCGA) and pastored the Pioneer Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Ligonier, PA for 4 years before accepting the call to Soli Deo Gloria Ministries on a full-time basis in 1993. He has since founded, and is President of, The Northampton Press, which specializes in the Works of the Puritans. He is the author of "Why Read the Puritans Today?" and "A Spectacle Unto God: The Life and Death of Christopher Love". Additionally, Dr. Kistler has edited over 100 Puritan titles, taking them from their old English form, and making them readable for today.
